Spreading Joy

We hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits as we reflect on a heartwarming event that brought smiles and joy to the faces of the kids at our office.

A Day of Joy, Food, Games, and Gifts

Our Christmas celebration was filled with laughter, delicious food, exciting games, and thoughtful gifts for each child. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to experience joy and create cherished memories during this festive season. This event holds special significance as it offers a moment of respite for these children from the harsh realities of violence in their daily lives.

Haitian Independence Day and a Glimpse of History

As we celebrated this holiday season, we also marked Haitian Independence Day. Haitian Independence Day, celebrated on January 1st, commemorates the day in 1804 when Haiti declared its independence from French colonial rule, becoming the first independent Black-led nation in the world.

This momentous event marked the end of a long and courageous struggle for freedom, symbolizing the power of unity and determination. It's essential to acknowledge the rich history and resilience of the Haitian people. The struggles they have and continue to overcome serve as an inspiration to us all.
